This attractive Late 20th Century First Year of Issue Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "The Skater", decorated in a sparkling red colourway, was designed by leading Doulton artist Peter Gee, and issued from 1992 to 1997. The underside fully marked with the Royal Doulton green printed backstamp of the period, HN 3439, THE SKATER, Modelled by Peter A. Gee, { facsimile signature }, © 1992 ROYAL DOULTON, 1992 - First Year of Issue, and in puce script, Painter's Monogram, WW, for either Bill Weaver or Bill Worthington, both listed as working at Doulton, the latter from Circa 1958 to 1994.
