This lovely Blue and White Transfer Tea Caddy was produced by Wade Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent for Tea and Coffee Merchants "Ringtons"of Newcastle Upon Tyne to celebrate the Millenium in 2000. Hexagonal in form, the design based upon an original Maling Cathedral Jar produced for Ringtons in the late 1920's, each side panel of the caddy is decorated with a view of an English castle, viz. Alnwick, Bamburgh, Brancepeth, Durham, Newcastle Upon Tyne and Warkworth, while the cover carries an image of Windsor Castle. Fully marked on the underside.
