A most attractive Mid 18th Century Antique Georgian Brass Tobacco or Table Snuff Box, probably Dutch, but possibly English, of octagonal form and with a fine soft patina. The simple engraved border to the slightly domed cover incorporating a small fleur-de-lys like device at each angle, the side panels each decorated with a punched and engraved Sun device. Still retaining it's original hinge, in undamaged condition, the lid however no longer forming an airtight cover.
