A fine Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Mason's Ironstone "Hydra" Jug by C.J. Mason & Co. of Lane Delph, Staffordshire. Colourfully decorated in a typical "Japan" pattern, the handle formed as a serpent, the base with the early straight line impressed Maker's mark reading MASON'S PATENT IRONSTONE CHINA as used circa 1813 - 1825. A good decorative example of the period.
