Description

A good Late 18th Century Antique English Georgian Old Sheffield Plate Argyle, a utensil created for and named in honour, so it is believed, of the fifth Duke of Argyll to meet with his desire for something that would keep his gravy hot throughout it's journey from kitchen to table. Not often seen, { and still less often recognised } in today's marketplace, this one in fine original condition other than having lost the top section of it's raffia handle covering.
