A scarce Late 18th / Early 19th Century Antique English Pewter Dish of small size, probably an ecclesiastical travelling paten, used for holding the host during the Eucharist, sometimes as a cover for the chalice, and carried by the priest when taking Holy Communion to sick parishioners. Fine condition with plain edge, attractive colour, the reverse with now barely barely legible LONDON marks.
