A really lovely Late 19th Century Antique English Victorian Blue Glass Column Oil Lamp, the capstan-like column rising from a stepped square brass base, and topped by a well defined brass Corinthian capital. Both column and font with restrained gilded decoration, the fine clean brass burner with wick winder buttons each marked T.R.S., the scalloped shade decorated with butterflies, this perhaps a little later than the lamp itself ~ Replacement clear glass chimney as one would expect. The knowledgeable Collector will be well aware just how difficult it is to source old oil lamps in this colour and we are pleased here to commend this fine and scarce example of the genre.
