A fine Late 19th Century Antique English Victorian Brass Door-Porter or Doorstop of superb colour and patina, modelled in the form of a standing stag, the reverse marked with a Registration Number, which, sadly, is now illegible. This piece would originally have had an iron weight inserted in the base in order to give added stability when placed to hold open a heavy door. As it is, with this now missing, the piece remains a most attractive item, ideal for use either for it's former purpose, or simply as a decorative object.
