Description

A good, Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Copper Tea Urn / Samovar of classical form and fine colour. In excellent condition generally, but lacking it's ivory / bone central bar and brass finial to the spigot and with replacement brass button feet. Samovars were normally placed upon the sideboard of the Victorian dining room to dispense hot water as required, the water being kept at the desired temperature by a heated iron bar which was inserted into an internal central tube. This piece still retains it's inner heating tube, but, as is so often the case today, not the cap and iron bar which would have completed the ensemble.

Height ~ 16.50 inches ~ Width to include handles ~ 14.00 inches ~ Depth to include spigot ~ 12.50 inches ~ Year ~ Circa 1850
