Sparkling glaze to this attractive Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Staffordshire Flow-Blue Pottery Jug, the clear Registration Mark to the base indicating that the design was registered on 15th November 1845. Two jugs of identical shape, although each decorated in a different pattern may be seen illustrated on pages 54 and 55 of Volume I of Monica A. South's excellent work, "Gaudy Welsh ~ A Visual Reference Book", where the author confirms that the form of the jug was registered as an ornament on that date by Bayley & Ball of Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire.
