This large and lovely Late 19th Century Antique English Victorian Glass Column Oil Lamp comes with a knurled pink glass column rising from a square three tier stepped brass base this set upon a black ceramic foot. The brass mounts of the very finest quality bearing a truly beautiful pink glass font moulded with birds nestling amongst foliage. With a good clean brass burner, the wick winders in working order, this delightful ensemble is crowned with a superb florally etched pink glass shade of the period. Replacement 20th Century clear glass chimney as one would expect. As so often, this example requires careful setting up, and exhibits that slight "Tower of Pisa"- like lean so often encountered with these antique glass column lamps.
