A good Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Iron Bound Coopered Oak Cider Costrel of approximately three pint capacity. These typically were carried out into the fields by farmworkers filled with beer or cider to complement their midday repast and hung from the belt whilst working. Lovely colour and patina to this example.
