An attractive Early 20th Century Antique Gaudy Welsh Dinner Plate, colourfully decorated in a traditional palette in "Oyster" pattern by Allertons of Longport, Staffordshire. The reverse with a small faint old hairline, and barely legible impressed mark , { possibly RA } together with the black printed mark as used by the pottery from circa 1912. Rather touchingly, this piece also bears an old paper label to the reverse which reads, "Ethel bought me this Mevagissey 1960's ~ 6d" ~ Ex A. & P. Todd Collection.
