An amusing Early 20th Century Antique Toby Jug by Allerton's of Longton, Staffordshire, the smallest of three presently available, the complete set illustrated here in Image Nos. 7 and 8. The underside with printed Maker's mark in black as used by the pottery from circa 1912. To quote Monica South, "It is debatable whether or not "Toby" items are true "Gaudy Welsh".
