A fine and large Early 19th Century Antique Georgian Gaudy Welsh Jug of panelled octagonal form in the shape generally referred to today as "Hydra", the panels alternately moulded and painted in "Bullrush" or "Forget-me-not" pattern and with a fine moulded handle. One of a pair of closely matching jugs of this size presently available. Unmarked, but possibly produced in Bristol by Pountney & Allies { circa 1816 - 35 }. cf.
