A really lovely, colourful Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Ironstone China Oval Footed Comport, unmarked other than for a Painter's monogram in underglaze red. Here attributed to G.M. & C.J. Mason of Lane Delph, Staffordshire, { 1813 - 1829 }, who first introduced Ironstone China in 1813. While their products were soon copied by rival potters, this attribution is based upon a close comparison of this piece with a plate, presently held in our inventory, Our Stock Ref. AEGMIIPP1-130, which very similar example is fully marked. N.B. :- Other items from this service presently available ~
