A most attractive Early 19th Century Antique German Circular Papier-mâché Snuff Box Cover, probably produced at the Stobwasser Works in Braunschweig, and pleasingly decorated with a lively bucolic scene of peasants dancing at a village fete. The image reminiscent of David Teniers painting "The Village Wedding" from which it perhaps was derived. The reverse now pierced for hanging. Unmarked.
