Quite delightful ! This Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Dessert Plate by F. & R. Pratt of Fenton, Staffordshire, { Est. circa 1818 }, is decorated in sparkling colours with "The Truant", adapted from a painting exhibited at the Royal Academy by T. Webster in 1834 and listed as No 413 in Ball's catalogue. More often seen on dessert wares rather than pot-lids, the reverse of this lovely old plate with it's oak-leaf border has a faint old star crack, which does not however detract in any way from it's beauty. Victoriana at it's very best !
