A rare and interesting Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Pearlware Child's Plate, this one rather literary in flavour, being adorned with the following verse, the two rhyming couplets possibly part of a longer poem decorating perhaps a set of half a dozen plates.
"But thou art dear unto my heart ~ More dear than Tongue can tell
And if a fault is cherished there ~ Tis loving thee too well"
