A fine clean First Edition copy of "Chelsea, Bow and Derby Porcelain Figures ~ Their Distinguishing Characteristics", by Frank Stoner, published by The Ceramic Book Company of Newport, Monmouthshire in 1955. An excellent work by the author, son of George Stoner, Partner in the esteemed firm of Early 20th Century London Antique Dealers, Stoner and Evans of 3, King Street, St. James's, from whose stock-books, the illustrations for this volume were taken. Stoner and Evans are particularly remembered today for their collaboration with the collector, Tom Burns in building his famous collection at Rous Lench Court, Worcestershire. Hard covers, large format,33 pages of erudite academic text, 5 full colour plates, 112 black and white photographic plates.
