A good clean copy of "Churches the Victorians Forgot", by Mark Chatfield, first published in 1979, this Revised Second Edition issued by Moorland Publishing of Ashbourne in 1989. Today, thanks to the remodelling carried out as a result of the "High Church" movement of the 1840's, only about seventy churches preserve intact the "Prayer Book" interiors familiar to all who worshipped in an Anglican church between around 1570 and 1840. In this book, the author has selected fifty such churches, and each description is accompanied by a trio of photographs, all refreshingly different. Hard covers, large format, 171 pages, good black and white illustrations, original dust jacket.
