A fine large Late 20th Century Coalport English Porcelain Plate from the "Sporting Dogs" Limited Edition series by Melvyn Buckley, this one depicting "The Spaniel" and numbered 114 in a limited edition of 2500. The reverse with inscription reading "The working Spaniel is adept at flushing game within shooting range and indeed the Springer is renowned as the most effective gundog in the world. The Cocker shows unfailing cheerfulness and efficiency which are a delight to it's master, although at times it prefers to go it's own way rather than obey orders.
