A good clean copy of "Collecting Antiques", by G. Bernard Hughes, first published in 1949, this Third Impression of the Second Edition issued in 1960 by Country Life of London. Dedicated to his wife, Therle, in partnership with whom he regularly contributed to Country Life magazine and with whom he wrote many books about antiques. Twenty nine chapters on a variety of subjects, every one of them an entrancing read. Fine black and white and superb full colour plates. As a young and enthusiastic dealer, this was one of the first reference books that I ever bought. It enchanted me then and it's lustre has never faded. Thoroughly recommended! Hard covers, large format, 391 pages, original dust jacket.
