A rare and most impressive Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Blue and White Transfer Pottery Tureen and Cover, unmarked, but believed to have been produced by John and William Ridgway of Shelton, Hanley, Staffordshire, as part of their "Angus Seats" series. Both the interior and the exterior depicting various views taken from "Seats of the Nobility and Gentry in Great Britain and Wales in a Collection of Select Views engraved by W. Angus from Pictures and Drawings by the Most Eminent Artists with Descriptions of each View", published in 1797. This lovely old piece has been professionally restored to museum standard and is guaranteed to add lustre to the finest display of antique blue and white china.
