A rare Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Blue and White Transfer Pottery Dish from a child's dinner service, printed in a medium blue palette with a view of "The Chalees Satoon". Attributed by Michael Sack, { India on Transferware ~ 2009 }, where it is illustrated in Plate 2 - 3, as possibly by Mayer & Newbold of Lane End, Staffordshire, { 1817 - 1833 }, and where it is suggested that the design was copied from the engraving by John Byrne, itself copied from the aquatint in Thomas and William Daniell's "Oriental Scenery", and included in John Pinkerton's "A General Collection of the Best and Most Interesting Voyages and Travels in All Parts of the World", published in London between 1808 and 1814.
