Printed in a medium blue palette, an identical plate is illustrated in Plate 17 of "Staffordshire Blue", by W.L. Little. The reverse with stilt marks and impressed Maker's mark "G R above a crown, CLEWS, WARRANTED, STAFFORDSHIRE", { Little, Mark No. 9 }.
