Description

A fine, large Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Blue and white Transfer Indented Pottery Serving Dish / Platter, one of a pair presently available ex stock, each here priced separately, decorated in the "Ruined Castle" pattern by Robert Hamilton of Stoke, { 1811 - 1826 }. Printed in that dark blue palette so popular at the time with the American market, no footrim, no Maker's Marks, but the reverse of each dish impressed with the numeral 18. The ideal accessories to complement that period oak, elm or fruitwood dresser.

Height ~ 37.00 cm. / 14.65 inches ~ Width ~ 48.20 cm. / 19.00 inches ~ Depth ~ 3.80 cm. / 1.50 inches ~ Year ~ Circa 1820. Purchased by English Heritage for Kenwood House.
