A scarce and attractive Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Blue and White Transfer Pottery Cake Stand, printed in the "Boy Piping" pattern, the Maker of which yet remains to be identified. The dished top decorated with a delightful picture of a Shepherd Boy piping to his sheep, his crook and basket in the foreground, the bucolic scene framed within a border of heartsease and primroses. The capstan shaped base unmarked other than for a small, dark blue underglaze numeral 4. Minor old hairlines to base.
