A lovely Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Blue and White Transfer Pierced Pottery Chestnut or Dessert Basket Stand printed in the "Neptune" pattern, the Maker of which is yet to be identified , one of an identical pair presently available ex stock. In the central reserve, Neptune stands, riding across the waves with Britannia in his chariot, while the border contains four heads within medallions, each with female supporters, these alternating with groups of military accoutrements. The whole presenting a most beautiful classical scene. Unmarked.
