Another good Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Blue and White Transfer Pottery Plate, printed in a medium blue palette with a named view of "Surseya Ghaut, Khanpore", this one from the "Parrot Border" series, the Maker of which to date remains unidentified, although an attribution to John and William Ridgway, { c. 1814 - 1830 } has been tentatively suggested. According to Michael Sack, { India on Transferware ~ 2009 }, where this pattern is illustrated in Plate 5-3, the source print for this piece first appeared in Charles Ramus Forrest's "A Picturesque Tour Along the Rivers Ganges and Jumna in India", published in 1824. The reverse with underglaze blue printed title, "SURSEYA GHAUT KHANPORE", this printed in script upon a rock within a foliate cartouche.
