According to Michael Sack, { India on Transferware ~ 2009 }, where this pattern is illustrated in Plate 4-15, all of the recorded views in this series are taken from source prints which first appeared in Charles Ramus Forrest's "A Picturesque Tour Along the Rivers Ganges and Jumna in India", published in 1824. The reverse with underglaze blue printed Title, SURSEYA GHAUT KHANPORE within a cartouche reading ORIENTAL SCENERY within a ribbon and foliage. This together with what appears to be a small impressed crown.
