A good, Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Ironstone China Plate by John Davenport of Longport, Staffordshire, { 1793 - 1887 }. Colourfully decorated in an Imari inspired palette heightened with gilding, { now a little rubbed }, and with scalloped edge, this piece bears on the reverse the uncommon puce printed Maker's Mark of an anchor set between the words Stone China, this reserved within a garter motif bearing the title, DAVENPORT LONGPORT STAFFORDSHIRE.
