A very fine Early 19th Century Antique English Late Regency Papier-mâché two compartment Tea Caddy of concave bombé form, the base bearing the early impressed mark of Jennens and Bettridge, indicating that the piece was produced prior to the conferment on that firm of the Royal Warrant. This lovely old caddy is offered in excellent condition, standing upon four simple feet of ogee form and retaining it's two original inner lids, silver lining paper and overall chinoiserie decoration of abalone shell pearl heightened with gilding.
