Description

A colourful Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian "Opaque China" Moulded Pottery Jug by Mayer and Newbold of Lane End, Staffordshire, { circa 1817 - 1833 }. The transfer printed chinoiserie decoration "clobbered" with polychrome enamels, the base with underglaze blue Maker's Mark, viz. Opaque China M & N, within an oval star cartouche.

Height ~ 17.20 cm. / 6.75 inches ~ Width ~ 10.20 cm. / 4.00 inches ~ Depth to include handle ~ 13.30 cm. / 5.25 inches ~ Year ~ Circa 1825.
