A large Late 20th Century Pottery Jardiniere, attractively decorated with four bucolic scenes, each reserved upon a cream and green ground, with gilding to the rim of the piece. The underside with underglaze black printed Maker's Mark, KLM in script above Staffordshire England. KLM was a small back street pot bank employing about 15 people, which was run by Karl Leighs, and was located at Chelson Street, Longton, Staffordshire. The back stamp was subsequently changed to STAFFORDSHIRE EARTHENWARE to avoid any confusion with KLM Dutch Airlines, and all production ceased in the late 1990's.
