A most attractive pair of Early 20th Century Antique HR Quimper French Faience Vases of unusual form. The trumpet shaped vases mounted upon tripod feet, the one decorated with a figure of a Petit Breton, the other with his Petite Bretonne partner, each standing amidst fronds of demi-fantaisie. Each vase is painted in a typically naive palette, the tripod bases with blue spongework-like decoration, and each is fully signed upon the body, HR Quimper, the HR conjoined above Quimper in script.
