Delightful and Rare ~ This small and endearing Pair of Late 19th Century Antique English Victorian Staffordshire Pottery Figures ~ "Children at Play" appear not to be listed in Harding's " Victorian Staffordshire Figures 1835 - 1875", today regarded as the standard reference work on the subject. Standing upon round grassy bases, the boy holds a cricket bat in his right hand, whilst, hands clasped together, his companion holds a ball in hers. Unmarked as one would expect.
