A quite enchanting Pair of Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Staffordshire Pottery Figures of Children on Setters ~ H 2235 ~ H 2236. Catalogued by Harding in "Victorian Staffordshire Figures 1835 - 1875", as Figs. 2235 and 2236, and illustrated, { Fig. 8, Page 63 } by Clive Mason Pope in "A - Z of Staffordshire Dogs". The docile animals stand patiently, each holding a basket of flowers in it's mouth, while the children are mounted, he astride, she side-saddle upon their backs. Another pair difficult to find together in today's marketplace.
