Simply delightful ! A fine and rare Pair of Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Staffordshire Pottery Figures of " Children with Spaniels" ~ H2223 / H2224. The red and white spaniels, each with separate front leg, seated upon moulded grape and vine leaf bases, each bearing a child upon it's back, a bird perched upon the shoulder of both girl and boy. The body of the girl rather brighter than that of the boy, this the result of old crazing on the latter, while she has two small hairlines / firing cracks, one at the base, the other at her back, both of which may clearly be seen in the images.
