A good clean First Edition copy of "The Price Guide to Stevengraphs, Stevens Silk Postcards and Bookmarkers", by Austin Sprake, published by The Antique Collectors' Club of Woodbridge, Suffolk, in 1972. Very little literature exists concerning these fascinating and now highly sought after Victorian woven silk pictures, so to find this particular volume in such fine condition is something of a rarity. The prices are, of course, now a matter of historical interest only, however, the knowledgeable text and fine black and white illustrations which form the basis of the book are of lasting value and are a great aid in training the eye of all those who would seek to develop a proper understanding of what collecting is really all about. A good basic training manual in fact for the apprentice dealer. Hard covers, 208 pages, original dust jacket.
