A good clean copy of "Regency Furniture; 1795 - 1820", by Margaret Jourdain, first published in 1934, this revised edition published by Country Life of London in 1949. Long regarded as the key work on the subject, published at a time when the 20th Century re-appraisal of the merits of early 19th Century furnishings was getting under way, this important volume contributed greatly towards the laying of the foundations for later research. Strong academic text supported by 126 pages of fine black and white plates. Hard covers, large format, 188 pages, some light foxing, original dust jacket, now a little untidy.
