This delightful Mid / Late 20th Century Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "Belle O' the Ball" ~ HN 1997, resplendent here in a red and white gown, was designed by Doulton artist R. Asplin, and was issued from 1947 to 1979. The underside with Royal Doulton green printed backstamp of the period, plus title, "Belle O' The Ball", COPR.1946, DOULTON AND CO. LIMITED, Rd.No. 846738., { for 1946 }, Rd.No. 23902., Rd.No. 128/46, indistinct impressed Model Number, and in green script, HN 1997, and the Painter's Monogram, T.P, probably for John Pierpoint, recorded as working at Doulton Circa 1927 to 1985.
