This pretty Late 20th Century Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "Margaret" ~ HN 2397, from the Vanity Fair Ladies series, offered here in a different, probably unique colourway, was designed by leading Doulton artist Margaret "Peggy" Davies and was issued from 1982 to 1999. Catalogued by Charlton as available only in a white dress with blue sash, this Different Colourway piece is decorated in a far more colourful palette, the dress being multicoloured and painted with roses. The underside with Royal Doulton green printed backstamp of the period, plus title, MARGARET, H.N 2397, © ROYAL DOULTON TABLEWARE 1981, and in black script, the unidentified Painter's Monogram, 39.
