This delightful Early 20th Century Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "Afternoon Tea" ~ HN 1747, decorated in a pink and blue colourway, was designed by Doulton artist P. Railston, and was issued from 1935 to 1982. This fine early example fully marked on the underside in green with the Royal Doulton printed backstamp of the period, this together with the numeral 11, indicating that this figurine was potted in 1938, "Afternoon Tea", Rd. No. 809200, { for 1936 }, indistinct impressed Model Number and impressed Date Code, 1138, this with a further 1 impressed below, so produced either 01 January or perhaps 01 November 1938, in green script, HN 1747, and in brown script the Painter's Monogram, RB, for Reg Brown, recorded as working at Doulton from Circa 1928 to 1962.
