This delightful Mid 20th Century Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "Blithe Morning" ~ HN 2021, was designed by leading Doulton artist Leslie Harradine, and issued from 1949 to 1971. Offered here in a mauve and pink colourway, the underside fully marked with the Royal Doulton green printed backstamp for the period, together with the title, "Blithe Morning", COPR. 1948, DOULTON AND CO. LIMITED, Rd.No. 854056 { for 1948 }, Rd.No. 25993, Rd.No. 5668, and Rd.No. 38/48, plus in green script, HN2021 and the Painter's Monogram, AS, for either A. Shrigley or Ann Sproster. Almost certainly a vintage piece, but impossible to prove this at the moment.
