This delightful Early 20th Century Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "Daffy Down Dilly" ~ HN 1713, offered here in a turquoise colourway, was designed by leading artist Leslie Harradine and was issued from 1935 to 1949. The underside fully marked in green with the printed Royal Doulton backstamp for the period, this together with the numeral 11, indicating that this figurine was potted in 1938, "Daffy-Down-Dilly", Rd. No. 803647, { for 1935 }, in green script, HN. 1713, impressed Date Code, 4138, for 04 January 1938 and indistinct impressed Model Number, plus in red, the Painter's Monogram, T.P. for either Elsie Maynard, or Tom Parton, the latter recorded as working at Doulton Circa 1930 onwards.
