This attractive Mid 20th Century Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "Easter Day" ~ HN 1976, decorated in a white, lilac and green colourway, was the first design released by leading Doulton artist Margaret "Peggy" Davies", { although credited by Charlton to Leslie Harradine ! }, and was issued from 1945 to 1951. This example fully marked on the base in green, with the printed Royal Doulton backstamp of the period, "Easter Day" Rd. No. 842489, { for 1944 }, COPR 1945, DOULTON & CO LIMITED, indistinct Impressed Model Number, plus in gold, the Painter's Monogram, FJH, for Fred Hodkinson, listed as working at Doulton from Circa 1935 to 1975.
