This rare and delightful Mid 20th Century Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "Meriel" ~ HN 1931, decorated in a pink colourway, was designed by leading Doulton artist Leslie Harradine, and was issued from 1940 to 1949. This example fully marked on the underside in green with the Royal Doulton printed backstamp of the period, together with the numeral 15, indicating that this piece was issued in 1942, "Meriel"., Rd. No. 837487, { for 1939 }, In green script, HN 1931, and in blue, the Painter's Monogram, .JW, unidentified, but listed as working at Doulton Circa 1938.
