This scarce and attractive Mid 20th Century Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "Toinette" ~ HN 1940, was designed by leading artist Leslie Harradine and was in production from 1940 to 1949. Well decorated in a red colourway, the base with green printed Royal Doulton backstamp for the period, this with Date Code 15, indicating that this figurine was actually produced in 1942, the third year of production, plus title, "Toinette" and Rd.No. 836256 { for 1939 }, HN 1940 and appended paper Whitley Collection of Miami label, indicating that, this lady has in the past spent some time in the United States. All this together with a distinctive Painter's monogram, JH, unidentified.
