A vintage example of what might fairly be described as Royal Doulton's most popular ever English Porcelain Figurine, "Top o' the Hill" ~ HN 1834, decorated in a rich red colourway, designed by leading Doulton artist, Leslie Harradine , and issued from 1937 to 2004. The underside fully marked in green with the Royal Doulton backstamp as first used in 1932, "TOP O' THE HILL", and in script, HN 1834 plus the indistinct Painter's Monogram which could be either JK or JR.
